My name is Debra White, and I would like to welcome you and your child to second grade at Adams Elementary. I want to influence your child by awakening an excitement for knowledge and a life-long desire to learn. To successfully accomplish this, it is important for parents to be a partner in the education of their child.  Together, we can make a difference!

Teaching is a passion for me and I love my job!  I received my Elementary Education degree from Concordia University in Portland, Oregon. This is my 14th year of teaching at the elementary level and my 6th year teaching second grade. I have taught Kindergarten through 4th grade, which has helped me better understand how children develop. When people wonder how much I make as a teacher... I tell them "I make a difference!" 

My family is a very important part of my life. I am married to my wonderful husband Jeremy. We have a sixteen year old son, Austin, a seven year old son, Hayden, and two year old twin daughters Ashtyn Olivia and Paityn Kennedy. My family motivates me to be a great wife, mother, and teacher. 

I believe that every child "can" learn and each child is unique with individual strengths and interests. My goal this year is to assist every student in my classroom in gaining as much knowledge as they desire, in a positive and exciting environment.
